Due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, CASS The Carers Association has altered the delivery of services, but our commitment to Carers in Staffordshire and to the people they look after remains the same. The safety of you as a Carer, the person you are supporting and our staff remains a top priority.
Advice for Carers
1 – Call our Carers Advice Line, open between 10am-4pm Monday- Friday, if you need help or support in your caring role on 01785 606675. We are here to listen if you need to talk to someone or relieve any worries you may have.
2 – Put an emergency plan in place, and share this with other relevant individuals who may be effected.
3 – There is a lot of information on the internet and a lot of hearsay being spread about Coronavirus that is not all reliable. Please check the NHS and GOV.uk website for official updates and guidance.
4 – If you are experiencing financial hardship or need some support, Turn2Us has a helpful guide on coronavirus benefits and help.
5 – Take time for yourself. It’s important that you look after your own mental wellbeing even when you’re looking after someone else. MIND has information and tips on how to look after your mental health
