Teenagers become Dementia friends

National Citizenship Service group fundraises for CASS

A group of young girls embarking on their National Citizen Service raised much needed funds for CASS the Carers Association. The girls held a cake bake sale and then a coffee & community morning in the Guildhall Shopping Centre, Stafford in August.

Their amazing hard work and fundraising efforts saw them raise a grand total of £285.73 over two days. They have kindly donated an array of refreshments alongside a beautiful hamper of craft items and vouchers for Argos and Wilko. The girls chose to support CASS as a local charity who support those living with dementia, and in return for their fundraising efforts CASS provided a dementia friends session which all the girls took part in. ‘I can’t believe what a tremendous effort the girls made in such short time, their gifts will provide craft activities and refreshments at our Carers groups for the rest of the year, and their commitment to supporting Dementia is highly commendable,’ said Mac Cock, Chief Operating Officer. CASS wants to say a huge thank you to the girls from NCS – funding to remember team, for their wonderful donation to our charity.
CASS would like to once again thank you for choosing to support us during your National Citizen Service and congratulate you all on graduating on your course!
